Guitars On Fire is the ultimate Lynyrd Skynyrd experience.  Skynyrd was the powerful driving rock band that gave birth to a genre -  Southern Rock.  They blew other national acts off the stage "without props, screaming, or exploding fireworks," just great songs, a great singer, and driving guitars.  The original band had stringent standards that came from years of endless rehearsals in the Hellhouse, and they duplicated their records with precision for their live stage shows.  This St. Louis based Skynyrd Reproduction takes no exception to their standards and represents them at their height, from 1976 to 1977.  The members of Skynyrd were hard working consummate musicians and raucous partiers.  Their tours included the Honkettes, the female backups that sang with the boys up until the time of the plane wreck that killed Ronnie Van Zant, Steve Gaines, and Cassie Gaines on October 20, 1977.  Guitars On Fire is not a tribute band, but instead replicates that short time in rock history when guitar was god on stage and the more great guitarists the better.
